Alternative 408 -Inside the envelope are instructions showing various ways to use the 400 pattern pieces in suedes and leathers - animals or man-made. View A combines a pig suede jacket with a fish skin collar and yarn embellishment. View B is a long coat with raglan sleeves, inseam pockets of fake leather yardage. View C is a long coat of overlapping lamb suede pieces, patch pockets, and pin woven sleeves form an assortment of textured yarns. 409 Tree Inspirations
Alternative 409 - uses trees as inspiration whether embroidered, appliqueéd, thread painted, couched, textured. View A has a funnel neckline which stands away, a couched tree branch with hand embroidered yarn leaves. View B has a thread painted tree covering the back, some branches coming down the front of the long coat with appliqued leaves. View C is a jacket with textured tree bark accenting the front. View D is a vest with a trapunto quilted tree in the yoke, and double pockets. 410 Reversibles
Alternative 410 - Reversible jackets and coats and the bonus of a reversible wrap skirt. View A works well in a 2-sided tapestry fabric with a commercial edge braid binding. Convert View B’s dropped shoulders to kimono sleeves and has an abbreviated shawl collar. View C is a thinner 2-sided fabric with an elongated shawl collar, interesting pocket and twice turned little hem on each edge. View D is an extensively quilted jacket of sheer fabrics, double breasted. All views have pockets on both sides.
