Alternative 413 - All 5 garments involve multiple pieces of fabric. Build these on base fabrics and use your stash for the piecing. Strip-pieced jacket has a stand-up collar with tube buttonloop fastening. Another is a crazy quilt vest covered with hand ribbon embroidery and machine decorative stitches. A Bargello style jacket has pieced band and shoulder with zipper fastening. Or how about a button-front bomber. Maybe a garden gate vest is to your liking.

417 Felted Fluidity
Piece of Cake Alternative 417 - Single Style includes felting needle and felting yarns. Use with Master Pattern 400. This kimono sleeved jacket is super simple with sleeves and body combined, and ending in a graceful petal opening at the slim wrist. The fluid drape at the front conceals a buttoned closure. The fun of this is creating a hand felted design to embellish the lower border. Instructions for the felting process and fabric construction directions enclosed. Felting needle enclosed.

Use with Master Pattern 400. View A jacket with off center closure. Fabric is wet felted from carded wool and mohair with no base. View B’s lined jacket starts with a base of cotton scrim onto which merino top and carded wool are felted. View C is purchased fabric with a felted design bordering its bias cut yoke. Scarf collar is attached.
