Any little scraps of that print silk? Use them for something fun like little Japanese kimonos filled with a combination of fiberfill and sachet. They're marvelous little treasures to have in your drawers, closets or make delightful hostess gifts. Use atop a gift box instead of a bow.

Pin the two layers, right sides together. Stitch all around in a shallow seam except the bottom which is left open. Clip the inside corners. Turn right side out and stuff with the fiberfill and potpourri. Turn the lower edges to the inside and stitch the opening closed.

Tie a ribbon in a bow around it under the arms and it makes a charming little pretty. Next time you'll be with a little group of friends, make one to give to each. They're fun and any kind of print fabric will do _ silk isn't necessary. Next Christmas consider making several to hang on the tree, pine sachet used as stuffing. Hang a few in the kitchen with herbs or spices as stuffing. Just make something pretty to turn your gray skies sunny.
