1501 Hanging By A Thread	Shirley demonstrates pattern layout for cover jacket (not shown) and same color embellishments with cording in a starburst pattern. So understated it is elegant. Contributing fiber artists offer other ideas, too.
1502 Tunnels and Tubes	Insufficient amount of fabric inspired this method of design. Tunnel designs in the fabric of a rhubarb colored jacket and self bias around the edges of this floral jacket extend sides for proper fit.
1503 I Grew, Gonna Sue?	A few extra pounds can devastate a wardrobe unless you know the secrets to expanding your clothing while camouflaging the changes. Even better, you can make the changes new design features! Shirley demonstrates how to cut up the current garment, lay it out on your pattern, where to add more fabric and then reassemble.
1504 Light Hearted Leather	Shirley's favorite, FabuLeather. She shows her embellishing techniques for adding fun to your leather projects including a beautiful purple pant and jacket set with golden butterflies dancing about. Learn finishing techniques for this fabric and adding as trim to fleece mittens and caps.
1505 Recycling Sweaters	Perhaps more lovely the second time around, wool sweaters are washed and dried to shrink or felt them into firm dense fabrics. Cut up and combined into vests and jackets that look like stained glass or crazy quilts like the Linda Davis jacket as right.
1506 Transformations	Did a dry cleaner ruin a favorite skirt or coffee stain a warm wooly white jacket? No fear as you have the ability to "fix" those errors with tasteful embellishment. Turn an old tiered skirt (remember those?) into a fun and modern baseball style jacket. Finally, a circular skirt from three different color layers of chiffon is demonstrated.
1507 Flower Power	Your thumb may not be green, but that doesn't mean you can't have a garden. Produce beautiful flowers from singeing silk or raveling little fabric squares, twisting ribbons, thread painting. Possibilities are endless.

1510 Guata-Mola	Guatemalan fabrics are sturdy but ravelly. Use that trait to your advantage then combine with molas you can buy or make. These appliqué pictures are fascinating and add unique interest.
1511 Happening in the Plaza	Areas throughout the country put on wonderful sewing festivals. Go to learn new techniques and raise your expertise level from the give and take of teachers and other participants. Be inspired by a wealth of ideas in this parade of garments.
1512 Silk Bloomers	Produce this "blooming" technique by stacking fabric layers, stitching multiple lines, then slashing between them. Done in silks and thin supple rayons, these are especially lovely and dressy. Stripping before stitching is still another alternative shown. Shirley demonstrates with the patternless jacket.
1513 Shibori	A Japanese technique that wrinkles, twists or ties areas of fabric before dipping, spraying or painting. This resistant dye technique can be pressed flat or stabilized for beautiful results in jackets, vests, and blouses.
