Shirley Adams Sewing Connection and Alternatives Patterns Crystal Zippers

In series 15 Shirley introduced the beautiful Crystal Zippers on black fabric. She demonstrated their beauty on a black dress neckline, on an evening clutch, and this pictured black leather jacket.

1611 Changing Necklines	In the photo section of this book, she shows a vest (modeled by Kate Kaminski on the program) with the 16" separating zipper. Shirley demonstrates in this chapter how to take a standard jacket pattern and turn it into the styles diagrammed and photographed in this series.
1707 Paint the Town Red	Although the jacket on Nancy (right) is black, this program demonstrates the actual installation of these zippers. Guess what? They install like any other zipper on the market! That is the secret of this zipper.	For this jacket you will need one 18" separating zipper, two 6" zippers for the sleeves and two 6" for the pockets. Or redesign the whole thing to your tastes!
